Boy's Competitive Team

Boys Compulsory Team

Our compulsory teams, Level 4 - Level 7, follow the reccomendation of the governing body of our sport, USA Gymnastics; all of the Gold Cup instructors are safety certified and professional coaches with USA Gymnastics.

The compulsory teams train in the East Gym here at Gold Cup weekly from 6 - 14 hours/week and represent Gold Cup throughout the competitive season (Dec-May) at local and some out of town gymnastics meets. Training for these teams continues from the basic foundation established in our recreational program, but is  a much more diversified and structured for the competitive athlete.  Weekly practices develop each athlete into a more advanced gymnast that include to a series of advanced gymnastics skills/movements/elements and routines for competitions.

In the 2014-2015 season all compulsory levels had outstanding achievements at both the State and Regional competitions; during the season at Level 5 the team took first at every competition and our Level 5 team was the only team to travel to Regional Championships to represent New Mexico.
